Call for paper and poster presentation

The Department of Forests (DoF) in collaboration with the Association of Collaborative Forest Users Nepal (ACOFUN), is going to organize a 3 days "National Workshop on Collaborative Forest Management in Nepal" on the particular theme of “Collaborative  Forest Management" on 27-29, March2018 in Janakpur, Dhansha. The main objective of the workshop is to bring experiences, learnings, issues and challenges of Collaborative Forest Management (CFM) practices in Nepal along with the review of Policies, Act and Guidelines in terms of implementation of CFM.


The workshop is primarily aimed for developing a common understandings among  key stakeholders to make CFM process more inclusive and adoptive. The workshop organizing committee cordially invites you to submit your paper/poster or abstract (maximum 500 words) for paper and/ or poster presentation, either in Nepali or in English language. Accepted abstracts for paper need to submit a full paper (3000-6000 words) and deliver a 20 minute presentation during the workshop. Full papers will be published in a peer reviewed workshop proceeding. Similarly, accepted posters will also be presented during the workshop.

Decision on the abstract acceptance: 14 March, 2018

Presentation Slide Submission:  20 March, 2018

Full Paper Submission: 26 March, 2018
